irement routine, and have recently returned to the sea. I missed those 18 hour days... Made 3 months in the Persian Gulf aboard a "Research" vessel, with guys wearing black sun glasses...
Was permanent "Relief Chief" aboard the M/V Manistee & M/V Maumee Bulk Ships in the Great Lakes. Worked a month on each, then a month vacation. Only work 6 months/year due to the winter ice. You can view vessels on "boatnerd.com"
Presently (2015 w/46 years sailing), I've returned to "deep-sea" sailing and (at 76) I expect to continue for at least another ten years. You may view me on Facebook, should you be so inclined.
It's been an "experience"!
"Been There, Seen That, Done That"!
4 kids: one daughter (36) (Nurse), one son (28), two adopted "special needs" sons (25 & 29). 25 y/o has 186+ I.Q. with a high-functioning autism (Asperger Syndrome), and is a "trip" to live with. He's recently been compared to Einstein, by Board of Education Administrators. Expect great things from him in the future.
Four grand-daughters: 10, 9, 8, 7 years.
My yahoo mail & Florida license plate says it all: "o2b2sea"
